Student Notes

During the Fall, 2006 semester, Rebecca Disbrow, then a student in my personality course, showed me the notes she had taken on the book and my lectures. I thought these might be of value to students more generally. So, with her permission, I have placed them on this website.

An Advisary... You already know this, but just to be safe, I will repeat it here. Please be sure, first, to take your own notes in class. Also, if you generally take notes on the book, I recommend you do that first. The notes posted here are brief and focused, and rely on the understanding you have developed from reading the textbook, from listening to your instructor, and from other resources.

Moreover, the very act of taking your own notes helps your memory for the material. Once you have your own notes, however, you may want to compare them with this student's work. Also, please note that these notes will not, by themselves, sufficiently prepare you for an exam. They are meant to be of supplemental help only.

Student Notes on the Book*
Part 1: Exploring Personality
Part 2: Personality's Parts
Part 3: Personality Organization
Part 4: Personality Development

*Thanks to Rebecca Disbrow for the use of her class notes!

If you would like to add a different set of notes, or other course materials of help, please e-mail me at the University of New Hampshire. Thank you.
